Crab & Chilli Linguine

A fast and simple dish that packs a flavour punch.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of crab meat
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1.5 punnet of cherry tomatoes
  • Chilli flakes
  • Parsely
  • Packet of linguine
  • Lemon
  • White wine
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Step 1

Boil a large pot of salted water on high heat.

Heat up a fry pan with some olive oil on a medium heat. While the oil is heating up halve the cherry tomotoes, and mince your garlic.

When the oil is hot, add in the cherry tomatoes. Season with some salt and pepper. Turn down the heat to a medium low and let the tomatoes soften.

Step 2

As the tomatoes start to soften, add in your garlic, mixing everything together.

At the same time, throw the linguine into your boiling water.

Step 3

Now add in the crab meat to the tomatoes and garlic. Mix well. Add the chilli flakes, and mix everything together. Keep everything on a medium to low heat.

Increase the heat to high and add the white wine. Cook off the alcohol, or reduce to 1/2 then turn the heat back down a medium low heat and let everything cook for another 30 seconds.

Step 4

Add a splash of lemon to the crab mixture.

Grab the linguine and add it to your frying pan. Add in a splash of pasta water and cook through. Add in the parlsey and any extra seasoning and mix everything

And thats it. Plate you crab & chilli pasta with a wedge of lemon.
