Banana Bread

Don’t throw away those old bananas. Mash them up and and create banana bread!

Ingredients

  • 3 x Very ripe bananas
  • 1/3 Cup of butter melted
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 Teaspoon of vanialla extract
  • 3/4 Cup of sugar
  • 1 Pinch of salt
  • 1.5 Cups of flour
  • 2 Pinches of cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon baking soda

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175 degrees C. Place your butter on the stove and melt it.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, place your peeled bananas in to the bowl. Mash the bananas well until they are smooth. Once smooth add in the melted butter and stir thoroughly.

Step 3

In another bowl, crack the egg into it, add the baking soda, sugar, vanilla extract, salt and cinnamon. Mix well.

Step 4

Add the egg mixture to the banana mixture and mix well. Now add in your flour and mix everything together.

Step 5

Butter your baking pan, and then add the banana bread mixture to the pan. Place in to the oven. Bake for 50 minutes. After around 40 minutes grab a knife, poke the loaf and if the knife is comes out clean, your loaf is ready. If the knife comes out dirty, continue to cook the bread.

Step 6

Remove the bread from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then remove the bread from the pan and let it cool down to room tempreture.
